The Dutch dance label, Spinnin’ Records, has debuted a new free subscription label called Spinnin’ Premium. The label focuses on 100 percent free music, only releasing free downloads. The first release came out on Friday, Firebeatz & Apster’s ‘Ghost Child‘ featuring Spree Wilson.
CEO of Spinnin’, Eelko van Kooten, acknowledges that “the music industry is changing rapidly,” therefore the company is attempting to keep up with the demands of the market.
“Focus is shifting from paying for your music to streaming and other freemium models,” van Kooten said. “People are now expecting music to be available how and whenever they want it. We’ve always acknowledged this by sharing as much of our releases as possible on social media and streaming sites, now we break down that final wall by giving away the music as free downloads.”
Users can now sign up for Spinnin’ Premium and receive every released track as a free download for a period of two weeks. Subscribers will continue to get new releases on a regular basis.
