Hans Zimmer, the legendary German film composer, has announced his first tour ever. Zimmer is the man who brought movies like The Lion King, Gladiator, Inception, Interstellar, and 12 Years A Slave to life through his iconic soundtracks and scores. He is known for mixing traditional orchestral instruments with electronic music.

The composer’s European tour will begin April 16 at London’s SSE Arena and will conclude on May 16th in Bulgaria at Sofia’s Stadthalle, with 17 dates in between.

In a press release, Zimmer explained “Performing a tour like this is something that I have always wanted to do, and I am thrilled that the time has finally come.” The German composer is “…very excited to get some of my very talented friends together and give our audiences an experience unlike any concert they have ever been to before.”

Zimmer performed at London’s Hammersmith Apollo in 2014, with guests Johnny Marr and Pharrell Williams, where he sold out two nights.
