Just as soon as the bass-driven cruise ship that was Mad Decent Boat Party was setting its course to Mexico, it abruptly ended in tragedy. Twenty four-year-old Kaylyn Sommer has jumped overboard the Norwegian Cruise Line that was transporting the Mad Decent Boat Party.

Out of respect for the victim and never finding Sommer, management ended the party and headed back to shore early. Many DJ sets were canceled and Norwegian promised refunds to the sombre passengers.

The majority of the passengers spent well over $1000 for the ticket and accommodation for the multi-day trip. When passengers heard their entire refund would be $57.47, it was obvious they would be disgruntled. Since then passengers had voiced their frustration via social media but neither Norwegian nor Mad Decent has commented.
