Australian trio RÜFÜS DU SOL have finally released their new single on Odesza’s Foreign Family Collective. The trio has recently won “Best Dance Release” ARIA for “You Were Right” off of their sophomore album, Bloom.
Keyboardist Jon George, vocalist/guitarist Tyrone Lindqvist, and drummer James Hunt combine unique sounds and stretch boundaries with their smooth electronic music. The group fuses club and live elements into their music, and are bringing their music to the States within the next few months. RÜFÜS DU SOL will be making stops at Coachella (both Saturdays) and Firefly in June.
“Say A Prayer For Me” is a combination of happy and smooth electronic sounds with their vocals so beautiful that you will stop what your doing to give it a second, third, and forth listen. The track premiered via Entertainment Week.
Odesza’s Harrison Mills explained their excitement to work with RÜFÜS DU SOL,
“When an opportunity arose to work with RÜFÜS DU SOL on releasing a track through our label Foreign Family Collective, we sprung at the idea. They sent us the album to check out and we were blown away. Up until this point, FFC had only released singles. After hearing Bloom in its entirety, we knew we had to break that mold and put out the complete album. It’s one of the best albums we’ve come across in the last decade and we couldn’t be prouder to give it a home at Foreign Family Collective.”
The Seattle duo toured Australia for the first time in 2014 as support for RÜFÜS DU SOL, who recently returned the favor on ODESZA’s sold out In Return World Tour.
