Apple Music is making big moves – they announced on Tuesday a new partnership with Dubset Media Holdings, which will allow the service to stream remixes, mash-ups and DJ mixes for the first time ever. Sound familiar? Soundcloud, you could be in trouble.

Dubset Media Holdings is an organization that allows the sounds from their massive community of publishers and record labels to be streamed without any kind of copyright problems. This is due to a technology the company uses called Mixbank, which uses algorithms to scan all remixed content to discover the source of the original rights holder. By doing so, they can then alert the source and compensate them.

Though it is unclear when Apple will incorporate this service, there is a possibility that it will be discussed at their March 21st event. Regardless, this leaves the audience of users at sites like Soundcloud questioning their loyalty, as it may be a better alternative.
