A woman visiting Miami for Ultra Music Festival 2016 was raped by Carl Lee Wilt, a Metro-Dade Transit supervisor, after she was denied a ride due to the claim that she was “heavily intoxicated,” according to police.
Carl Lee Wilt, 41, was charged with sexual battery on a physically incapacitated victim and kidnapping, according to a Miami-Dade police arrest report. The report claims that the incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday in a utility room at the Metro Mover’s Park West Station.
A witness explained to the police that they were concerned once they saw Wilt carry the unconscious woman into the utility room. When police arrived, they had to wait five minutes for the door to be unlocked, followed by Wilt leaving “with his zipper down.” The woman was found unconscious on the floor and taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
According to the arrest report, Wilt admitted to having sex with the woman. He was ordered to remain jailed without bond in his first court hearing on Monday.
The name of the woman raped has not been released.
