Pop artist and recent feminist figure Kesha took to social media on Sunday to give the world another update on her harrowing legal struggle to break free of her working contract with Sony, and her alleged rapist Dr. Luke.

On her Instagram, Kesha states she was offered her freedom to record her music independently in exchange for an apology, and a lie.

“So. I got offered my freedom if I were to lie,” wrote Kesha. “I would have to APOLOGIZE publicly and say that I never got raped. THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors. I will not take back the TRUTH.”

Kesha doesn’t mention exactly who attempted to strike this shady deal with her, but anyone who has been keeping updated on her struggle with Sony should see the inference is pretty clear.

“I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again,” Kesha continued.

The rape Kesha refers to is at the center of the case, as Kesha has accused Dr. Luke, head of Sony Music’s Kemosabe Records, to which she has been signed since 18, of rape and abuse.

Dr. Luke continues to maintain his innocence regarding the rape allegation. His representative made this statement only last month: “The Court repeatedly stated Kesha was already free to record without Dr. Luke, and that she had not presented any facts supporting her claims. That’s because all the evidence — including Kesha’s own sworn testimony – show her allegations are false.”

Kesha’s legal team is currently appealing the ruling that denied her request to abandon her contract with Sony.

Following Kesha’s Instagram post, Dr. Luke’s legal team gave entertainment news source Mashable the following statement:

“Kesha’s Instagram posting is false. The Court repeatedly stated Kesha is already free to record without Dr. Luke, and that she had not presented any facts supporting her claims. That’s because all the evidence — including Kesha’s own videotaped sworn testimony — show her allegations are false. The only thing Kesha is not free to do is to continue to lie about Dr. Luke through publicity stunts and outrageous smears, ignoring the fact that by her own free will she went to work and entered new contracts with Dr. Luke years after this ‘incident’ supposedly happened. Her goal all along has been solely personal enrichment by seeking to break contracts that brought her success and millions so she can enter into more lucrative ones. We look forward to our day in court holding Kesha accountable for her lies.”
