Three people have been reported dead while attending Hard Summer Music Festival this past weekend. Taking place at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, the festival reportedly brought in over 140,000 in attendance. Although the causes of death have yet to be determined, Captain Horace Boatwright of the Fontana Sheriff’s Station posits that the unbearable heat was a major factor. This comes as no surprise, as the blistering weather stagnated amongst the 90’s throughout both days.
The tragic news was released alongside the announcement of 325 total arrests for the weekend – the majority resulting from public intoxication. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and friends of the victims.
