One of our favorite producers, AWAY, just put out some new treats for us. A new remix of brand new artist Skott’s “Porcelain” single was just released by the LA team, as well as a cool new BøRNS remix of “American Money”. BøRNS very seldom works on remixes, so this one is particularly special.
Upon release, “Porcelain” was named BBC Radio 1 Annie Mac ‘Hottest Record,’ saw a Spotify ‘New Music Friday’ add, rose near the top of Hype Machine multiple times, and received a Lorde stamp of approval. That’s some massive success for a brand new artist to the scene

Skott made her live debut this month at Sweden’s Way Out West festival and will continue to tour this fall through London and Paris. She grew up in a small forest commune, and she heard contemporary music for the first time when she was already in her teens.
Skott’s original “Porcelain” can be heard here:

Skott also has a follow up track, “Wolf”, which is a real beauty beat. Her music incorporates natural elements and spacious melodies, almost like Enya, but with a more dancey rhythm.
BøRNS rare remix of “American Money” is a churning, climbing electro beat with vivid, beautiful lyrics. It’s complex, uplifting, and irresistible with almost a Lana Del Rey kind of sensuality behind it. It’s a definite favorite of ours.
