LA-native Bobby Nourmand has been on a tear lately, as the west coast house star was recently dubbed as one of the “Hottest New Artists” by DJ Mag and Mixmag. His groovy beats and squeaky clean sound design have finally begun to garner the attention it deserves, with “D E E P in N Y” acting as the latest proof of his merit. This time, however, Nourmand decided to shake things up by featuring the talents of up-and-coming rapper D.O.C.

First of all, I feel like some clarification is necessary, as D.O.C. is not the same rapper as old-school rap legend The D.O.C. I totally understand the thinking behind this imminent publicity, but why wouldn’t you just work on making your own name, instead of essentially piggybacking the fandom of a certified rap god? But I digress, D.O.C.’s free-flowing style flows beautifully with Bobby Nourmand’s swanky timbre, along with Goodmorning’s soothing vocals over the chorus. This song is going right into my beach and late-night pool party playlists, as I’m sure to put it on repeat for weeks to come.
