After releasing one of the hottest dance tracks, “Animals,” in 2013, this only marked the beginning of Martin Garrix’s remarkable career. What’s even more impressive is the mature and prolific way he has built on that initial stepping stone over the last couple of years to become one of EDM’s biggest producers, who was first noticed by Tiesto.
The Dutch DJ has released powerhouse productions such as “Wizards,” “Helicopter,” “Now That I’ve Found You” featuring John & Michel, and most recently released “In The Name Of Love,” with Bebe Rexha, which conquered the charts and dance floors across the globe.
Now, Garrix announced that he’ll be releasing an incredible seven tracks in seven days during this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event. The tracks will be released one a day over consecutive days on his own STMPD RCRDS imprint, starting on Oct. 15. The selection comprises of tracks that have featured heavily in his sets this year and have been met with countless “ID?” requests from eager fans. Many of the tracks are collaborations with fellow producers, with a wide range of artists working with Garrix across the releases.
Garrix expressed that the releases are a “thank you” to his fans for all the support, saying, “Releasing these seven tracks is my way of saying thank you for the ongoing support from my fans. I can’t say it enough. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you guys! Hope you’ll enjoy each and every track that will be up uploaded the coming seven days.”
In celebration of these seven tracks, Garrix teamed up with seven unique visual artists, as they painted their own interpretation of each song on large canvases, which will become the final track artwork.
Garrix will be playing two shows during ADE at the massive Amsterdam RAI, with an 18+ show on Oct. 21 and an all-ages event on Oct. 22, which will showcase a big production and a special extended set. Tickets and event information can be found at his Facebook page.
