Helena Legend has become one of dance music’s most prominent DJs and electronic producers, showcasing her depth with electro, progressive and house beats. She takes her classical skills on the cello and piano and amplifies it when teamed with an electro barrage. Her musical prowess came full circle with her debut single “Girl From The Sky,” which reached No. 1 on the Australian Club charts for four weeks. After her release of “Levity” featuring Shawnee Taylor, landing a Top 10 spot on Beatport, she dominated charted and festival stages and released “Raven,” which became an instant summer anthem.
The U.K born, Australian-bred DJ has gained a large support from big name DJs like Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Ummet Ozcan, R3hab and many more after she released “Legend” and “Shake It.” She’s also guest mixed on Tiesto’s “Club Life,” which lent her an even greater exposure. Dubbed by DMC World Magazine as “one of the most exciting DJ’s of the moment,” Legend is definitely leading The Revolution and continues to do so with her newest EP, No Explanations – Part 1, out now.
Legend is back with a new EP, which is totally different than her previous releases with a blend of Dance/Urban/Vocal vibes. This is the first time that Legend will be singing on her own track, called “Illusion,” and the EP features remixes for Nervo’s “Let it Go” and Calvin Harris’ “This Is What You Came For.”
The producer, singer and songwriter released her three track EP as a refreshing break away from her previous identity, and the music speaks for itself; incorporating futuristic melodies, rhythmic basslines and sultry vocals. No Explanations – Part 1 sounds both more mature and more experimental than Legend’s past work, as if she stepped outside of her comfort zone and found exactly where she was meant to be.
The first track on the EP, “RU Feeling It,” is a sexy collaboration with duo LYRE and closes the EP with some island rhythms featuring Australian Blake Rose’s vocals on “Getaway.”
