Alex and Drew of The Chainsmokers dropped a brand new single and surprise – it’s already stuck in our heads.

“Paris” is about something very personal to The Chainsmokers. It was inspired by a friend of the two who struggled with addiction and lived in a fantasy world with his girlfriend, while their lives were falling apart all around them. It’s also, in a more general sense, about the times when you are in one situation, but wishing you were in another.

“We are really excited about this song because it feels like a really big step in our production and song writing. We tried to switch it up a bit and the song feels a lot more rhythmic and we pulled a lot of inspiration from bands we grew up loving.” – The Chainsmokers

The music video, which doubles as a lyric video, was directed by the duo’s long-time friend Rory Kramer, and features viral model Alexis Ren. Check it out below and grab “Paris” on iTunes or Spotify.

P.S. The boys have some major surprises for 2017 😉
