BangOn!NYC has made numerous Brooklyn warehouses and industrial lots its home throughout its eight-year lifetime. Now, the party collective is taking its flagship Elements festival to a northeast Pennsylvania campsite just over two hours from New York City. With open fields, hidden forests, and a sparkling lake dancing to the tune of electronic music, BangOn!NYC Elements Lakewood Camping Music & Art Festival, which is set to take place over Memorial Day Weekend (May 26-28), will be a true summer camp for adults.
The Phase 1 lineup features over 30 artists, including diverse headlining acts Tipper, Claude VonStroke, Lee Burridge, Claptone, Keys N Krates, and Ott. View the Phase 1 lineup below.
Besides the fact that you’ll get to spend three magical days with New York’s most innovative party crew in a musical wonderland, here are three more reasons why you should add BangOn!NYC Elements Lakewood to your summer agenda.
1. It will immerse you.
Earth, fire, water, and air-themed stages will surround you with the best in electronic and live music throughout each day, and you can keep it going through the wee hours with three indoor late-night stages. Alongside the endless opportunities to enjoy music, Claptone will host his unique Masquerade Party, a roller disco will test your skating skills, Burner-style art cars will lead you to secret dance parties, and there will be a boat stage setting sail at every hour. And as usual, BangOn!NYC will embrace the arts with large-scale sculptures, immersive theatre, circus performances, art galleries and a massive tribal market.
2. It will satisfy your appetite.
Those who’ve experienced Elements in the past know that BangOn!NYC appreciates a good food truck. Local food trucks will cater to tastes from around the world, showcasing favorites from Pennsylvania and New York. A beer garden with craft brews from the surrounding areas will also be on-site.
3. It will tap into your environmentally conscious side.
All the lights and sounds you’ll experience at Elements take quite some energy to produce, so the festival will be incorporating alternative energy where possible. Recycling will also be a focus. And carpool up – if you arrive by hybrid or electric vehicle, you will receive free parking and a $20 food-and-beverage voucher. Finally, BangOn!NYC will sponsor a grant for any approved art installation that utilizes solar power. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org for any inquiries.
