After being voted as the “One To Watch” by MTV and Billboard, Danny Avila has become one of the youngest DJs to gain traction in the EDM scene due to his prowess in electro house, big room, Dutch house and trap.
The 21-year-old DJ has worked with major producers such as Tiesto, Deniz Koyu, The Black Eyed Peas, Fedde Le Grand and most recently Tujamo. In 2011, he was nominated as the “DJ Revelación” at the Vicious Music Awards by Ron Barceló. Now, Avila has been traveling around the world, performing at some of the biggest festivals in the world.
Avila is back in the spotlight with his first release of 2017, showing his versatility once again with a beautiful remix of one of the hottest properties in pop music, Gavin James’ “I Don’t Know Why.”
The original track dates back to 2014, and Avila created this version of it for his own pleasure and use not long ago. Once James and his label heard it, however, they knew they had to get it out there.
Avila retains the delicate charms of the original in his remix, placing James’ measured yet powerful vocal over filtered synth arpeggios before introducing his gentle guitar picking and a warm bassline. As the bridge unfurls, so too do pulsing synth chords and the soaring chorus plays out over lush harmonies and a chugging beat in beautiful fashion.
“Over the last year I was experimenting a lot with different sounds and styles so when I was playing around with this pop song I really liked I tried to create something different just for fun. Just one week later my team told me that they loved it and want to release it,” said Avila.
