The self-proclaimed founders of “super house” are coming to Brooklyn. Andhim, the German duo responsible for soulful dance-floor favorites like “Mr. Bass,” “The Wizard of Us,” and “Hausch,” are set to spin at Output on Saturday, March 25, alongside techno virtuoso Julia Govor. Tasker, Gio Shengelia, and Ryan Clover will take over the Panther Room.
Andhim are masters at setting the mood: their latest release, Tosch, is an EP loaded with atmospheric sounds laid over house beats that draw forth images of a neon-lit desert party. But genres mean nothing to the duo. When Magnetic Magazine asked to describe what exactly super house is, the duo said, “For us, all this ‘genre’ is so unnecessary. It’s kind of stupid, you know? I’m doing Latin, salsa, beach, suck-my-ass-house. Who cares? Do whatever you want guys, we’re doing super house. This is what we do!”
