Bass house has hit a sort of monotonous rough patch – in my opinion – as tons of artists seem to be releasing tracks with the same exact sound design and percussion patterns. Tony Romera and Cazztek have come together to break this dull conformity, with the extremely groovy spring-ready release titled “Make You Drop.”

The aptly-titled track combines the funky flow of circa-90’s house with the vast capabilities of modern sound design. Unlike recent trends, Romera and Cazztek refuse to tone down the wub in a serious effort to blow out your speakers. Seeing as the two are both seasoned veterans, it’s no surprise that they provide the perfect combination of dark synth progressions and bouncy percussion patterns. Hopefully the perfectly matched duo won’t make this their last collaboration, as I’ll surely be blasting this one all throughout the spring and summer.
