In his Monstercat debut, dance music legend Wolfgang Gartner joins forces with veteran Monstercat artist Aero Chord for this bone-chilling, tribal new beat “Borneo.” If you’re looking for an exotic sonic escape away from your 9-5, search no further, these boys have got you covered.

Alex Vlastaras, aka Aero Chord, is a 25 year old Grecian future trap producer known for his innovative sound design and aggressive, dancefloor-ready arrangements. Wolfgang Gartner, born Joey Youngman, is a seasoned artist always on the prowl for new material. With these two forces back to back, you know to expect something high energy and festival-ready.

Joey Youngman made the transition from house to electronic back in 2007, and the world has been watching ever since. “I was getting bored with House, with that whole sound,” he says. “I basically hadn’t evolved musically since the late 90′s and had been rehashing the same ideas over and over. Something just snapped and I decided it was time for a complete change.” We can’t say we’re unhappy with that decision. Since then, Wolfgang Gartner has landed eight #1 tracks on Beatport, produced remixes and collabs with Britney Spears, Timbaland, and Black Eyed Peas, received a Grammy nomination, and hit the stage at Coachella 2010 and Electric Daisy Carnival two years in a row. Now that he’s made his debut on Monstercat, we don’t see Wolfgang slowing down any time this year.

Aero Chord’s resume is just as impressive. With official remixes for the hit “Burnin’ Up” from Jessie J & 2 Chainz and Bro Safari’s “Scumbag,” as well as the Beatport chart-buster “Surface” and “Break Them,” Alex has been on a roll as of late. He’s garnered support from the likes of the biggest taste-makers in the industry: Skrillex, Diplo, Tiesto, Flux Pavilion, & more. He’s also been an essential part of the Monstercat family as they’ve risen to their current standing as one of the biggest and best labels in the game.

“Borneo” is fast, ferocious, and filled to the brim with jungle terror. The beat is tribal and hypnotic, matching with it’s cover art flawlessly. If you’re ready for an adventure, gear up and hit that play button:
