In the most unexpected news of the week, Vin Diesel is launching an EDM career. The actor recorded a so-called “monster track” with Steve Aoki in Las Vegas a few weeks ago, with Vin on vocals. And in other news, my mind is completely blown.

Diesel FaceTimed Aoki during an interview with the LA Times to help him break the news. Aoki said of the track, “What Vin brought to the table, I’ve never experienced before,” and went on to add. “I think it’s going to blow people’s minds.”

What do we know about this mystery track? High praise from one of the most infamous DJs of our time aside, the track made Vin Diesel cry. According to the interview, the Fast and the Furious star broke down in tears the first time he showed it to his girlfriend. Vin has teased to his assistant that he’ll win a Grammy before he wins an Oscar, which might very well be the case.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard “The Diesel” sing. Most recently, he added his vocals to Kygo and Selena Gomez’s “It Ain’t Me” earlier this year. Check out his chops:

Diesel also sang a verse of Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again” as tribute to his late co-star Paul Walker at the MTV Movie Awards, among various other musical moments. He’s definitely got the voice, so let’s see how it meshes with Aoki’s EDM style.

The track itself is a mystery, so it’s a guessing game until it drops. Maybe the song will be made up entirely of car noises, as a nod to the Fast and the Furious. Maybe it’ll be the hit of the summer that you’ll hear at least ten times at EDC. Maybe it’ll be a complete game changer. Maybe it’ll win Vin a Grammy. Comment below with your guesses!
