Frythm recruits Rome Fortune for “Breakthrough,” a memorable collaboration that combines raw emotion and hazy vibes for the ultimate rainy day soundtrack.

Drawing influences from Flume, Pascaal, and Cashmere Cat, the brand new single is one part soulful, one part dark, and all parts monumental. As always, Rome Fortune stays effortlessly cool with a chill flow that makes you focus on each word as it comes. Raw textures combine with mystifying keyboard harmonies for what finishes off as a forward-looking track in every sense of the word. Hopefully this is not the last time we’ll catch the pair together.

“I wrote this beat when I was going through some very tough times mentally so everything came out so raw and organic.” – Frythm on “Breakthrough”

In 2016, Frythm performed at Neon Desert Music Festival and shared the stage with Louis the Child, Rome Fortune, Troyboi, and more. Matthew Pena, the man behind the beats, rekindled his love for music at the young age of 17, producing a unique blend of ambient electronic and warped hypnotizing beats–a sound that he has clearly coined as his signature.
