HXV dove into his struggle with addiction through “Novocaine” last October, and returned with “Where Do We Go From Here” several months later as a challenge to connect with listeners sans vocals, while opening a new series of releases that each served a story and a purpose.

Two weeks ago, the artist previously known as Heroes x Villains, dropped his powerful Separation EP, which “marks the first steps in a longer story [he’s]trying to tell.” Separation pushes the boundaries of electronic music and offers an exciting new chapter in the story of HXV.

We teamed up with Daniel Pollard, the man behind the hood, for a Spotify playlist that features the other side of his world–what he is listening to. Featuring his own music (both new and old), Nine Inch Nails, Flume, 6LACK, and more, this playlist will help you explore the complexities of HXV.

Take an introspective voyage through HXV’s exclusive Spotify takeover below and listen to his brand new Separation EP here.
