Buku entered the trap scene years ago among artists such as Baauer, Flosstradamus, Heroes X Villains and TNGHT. That was back in 2012. Believe it or not, that was five whole years ago, and Buku is still cranking out bangers to this day. While other pioneering artists have branched out in many different directions, Buku has stayed true to his roots, and is still a revered artist in the underground community.

This weekend Buku let loose a free download for the people: “We Go.” From the beginning you can already pinpoint his signature arpeggio build up. For a moment, I’m transported back to the early, nostalgic days of trap, bumping Buku’s legendary “All Deez” in my car on my way to class. By the time the drop hits, I’m snapped back into present day. It’s clear how much Buku’s sound has evolved since I first came across him five years ago.

This track is constructed for the festival circuit, no doubt. With a few coming up, I would be disappointed if I didn’t hear this tune thrown into some heavy sets. Buku’s “Front To Back” received crazy support from all-time headliner Bassnectar. I wouldn’t be surprised if “We Go” got the same treatment.
