The highly anticipated 2017 lineup of North Florida’s Suwannee Hulaween Music and Arts Festival is finally here, and it doesn’t disappoint whatsoever. There wasn’t a real reason given as to why it took so long to announce this, but it definitely built the hype up for one of Halloween’s most famed festivals.
Normally, events like this announce their lineup at least six to eight months in advance, but with Suwannee being four months away, it left a lot of doubters waiting patiently to purchase their tickets. You shouldn’t question this festival though. Get your tickets while they’re cheap and worry about the lineup later; it’s bound to be good, as proven below, and the music is only half of what Hulaween has become, the rest is about the ambience and the experience.
Of course you have The String Cheese Incident’s residency of seven sets throughout the weekend along with, let’s see, who else can we throw in there to make this haunted weekend even more magical? How about Bassnectar, Ween, GRiZ, Run The Jewels, Nick Murphy (Chet Faker), RL Grime, Portugal. The Man, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, The Disco Biscuits, Claude VonStroke, Vince Staples, Crywolf, Keys N Krates, Space Jesus, Kamasi Washington, Lettuce and many more.
Mere words cannot describe the venue, the foliage, the acts, the art, the production, the sound, the vibes, and most importantly, the people of Hulaween. You just have to experience it for yourself to understand. This event curates true camping in the spooky Spanish moss-dripped trees, alongside trippy art, lights, vibes, and music. All of these elements combined make Hulaween a stand-out event when it comes to festivals.
