Rising American bass artist Buku has just dropped a brand new single that continues to solidify his status as one of the most talented artists of the moment.

“Align” is the ultimate journey of sound, beginning with layered drum samples, trance-like vocals from the man himself, and a wicked buildup. His deliberately progressive atmosphere could not have prepared me for the head-splitting bass that follows. Buku goes above and beyond with each and every one of his productions, making me wonder why he isn’t headlining main stages on a regular basis. However, if he continues on this pass of sonic destruction, that will be sure to change soon.

“With “Align,” I set out to create a tune with a trance-anthem type atmosphere. I had so much fun with creating the “Front to Back” vocals, that I decided to incorporate the same studio techniques/tricks on my own voice. Not only is it super fun and strange to execute, I think I created a tune that you can throw your hands up and belt out at the rave.” – Buku, on “Align”

Buku has seen releases on OWSLA sub-label NEST HQ, Fool’s Gold, Main Course, Mad Decent, and more. He went viral with his recent chart-topper “Front to Back” and has collaborated with Bassnectar, Pete Tong, G Jones, and many other established artists. The formally trained musician whips out bangers on a regular basis, and “Align” is just one more piece of his everlasting puzzle.
