We are back, heading Behind The Bass with a pair of highly talented individuals this week. They are Luca Schreiner and Loé, who have recently just released their collaborative single “Out Of My Mind” through Ultra Music.

Take a read below to hear more from the pair.

To kick things off, can you tell us a little about yourselves? Where are you currently based? How long have you both been seriously making music for?

Luca: I started making music at 16, now I’m 22. I’m currently based in Stuttgart, Germany.

Loé: I’ve been making music for 5 years, and am currently based in DC.

What/who/where inspires you the most creatively?

Luca: I’m very inspired by Loote at the moment, as well as Autograf.

Loé: I’ve been listening to a lot of Coldplay and John Mayer recently. Getting back to my roots!

What are your favourite parts about being artists? If you could change one thing about it, what would it be?

Luca: Turning my hobby into a job and doing what I love and expressing my inner feels through music. If there’s anything I would change, it would be to not have to be so dependent sometimes on other people’s decisions.

Loé: I really love collaborating and meeting new people everywhere I go. There’s a few things I’d maybe change but nothing worth mentioning.

Your new single “Out of My Mind” has just landed, and it’s such a great tune! Was it one that you instantly felt worked or did you spend a while on it, perfecting it?

Luca: It was pretty easy, Loé put together the original idea and then I came on board and turned it into what it sounds like today.

Loé: This one was so fun to work on with Luca, it’s always easy to collaborate with like-minded people.

What do you feel each other brought to the track?

Luca: Loé brought the writing and concept and then I brought my own style to it.

Loé: I feel like Luca really brought a shine to the track and really made it stand out from most things we hear in our genre today.

How would you describe the single to someone who had yet to hear it?

Luca: Summer vibes with a lot of acoustic influence.

If you could choose any artist(s) to remix it, who would you pick and why?

Luca: Right now I’m really into Grey and Cheat Codes, it would be so great to hear what they could do.

What are a couple of tracks you always include in a set?

Luca: I play a lot of Don Diablo right now, as well as Throttle.

Your most memorable experience of the year so far?

Luca: Playing Marquee in New York was probably the sickest so far.

Loé: There have been a lot of great sessions with great people, and I couldn’t ask for anything more.

What are you bringing to the table throughout the rest of 2017 in terms of releases and shows?

Luca: I’ll most likely release another single in the coming months and also another new remix out on Armada within the next few weeks!

Loé: I’ve got a single set to go live next month, and I’m really excited for people hear it. More details on that soon!
