Bruno Martini has made his mark as an international musician and producer, hailing from the party city of São Paulo, Brazil. Bruno Martini is known for his artful blend of tropical house that oozes over the speakers. Recently, the musician released his new single “Sun Goes Down” ft. Isadora, which has already reached over 10 million plays on Spotify, and his special remix of JP Cooper’s new single “She’s On My Mind,” which is also available now.

We were able to catch up with the global star to talk music, life, and his newest release.

Hey Bruno! Thanks for taking the time to talk with us. You’re currently located in São Paulo, which is kind of a Party Capital! From what we understand, you’ve been performing since the age of 16. How has your style evolved from your beginnings to now? How has growing up in Brazil shaped your musical tastes and interests?

Thank you so much for having me here! =D I started working with music when I was really young. My father also works with electronic music and he has a music studio in Brazil, you could say I was born inside his studio.:-) I Started playing the guitar when I was 8 years old and then also some others instruments. Then after that I started to compose and producing my own music. When I turn 16, I signed a contract with Disney and made some music that became the the music for movies and I had my own TV Show for Latin America. I listen to every type of music, from Rock to Hip Hop, to Electronic Music, to Classical Music, to Samba… I just love music. I used also to have my rock band and we used to play some Classic Rock like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, etc…

Was there an artist who inspired you to pursue a career in production?

Timbaland is one of my biggest heroes in music.

In the past you have shared stages with electronic music superstars such as Galantis, Hardwell, and Steve Angello. What would 16-year-old Bruno Martini think of this?

It’s always an amazing experience and amazing learning process sharing the stage with these legends. I think the 16 year old Bruno would not believe you!!

Have you always been interested in this particular genre of EDM, or are there other genres of music that you have dabbled in?

I love music, I listen to everything! I never liked to follow any pattern, I just follow my heart… every time I hit the studio, I just want to have fun and share a message to people with my music. Most of my songs I compose myself.

Soon you will be going on a pretty heavy tour. Do you have a favorite festival or city that you have had the opportunity to perform in thus far? How about globally?

I began to perform in the USA, starting in New York at Electric Zoo. This year I had the opportunity to play at Tomorrowland, Electric Zoo Brazil, Findings Festival in Norway, and many more festivals is coming. I’m really grateful for everything that is happening to me.

Your latest release “Sun Goes Down” is quite different from your releases such as “Living On The Outside” or “Hear Me Now.” Do you think that your style and influences change when you are collaborating with another artist?

To be honest, I think “ Living On The Outside” is different from everything. I’m singing on this track and I recorded all the instruments… It is exciting for me to release something that people are not expect or are waiting for. I believe that “Hear Me Now” and “Sun Goes Down” has kind of the same vibe, but “Sun Goes Down’’ is a lil bit more summer.

I put my heart in everything I do and for me it’s all about the music.

What are the most difficult things to deal with when collaborating with another musician? What are the most exciting things when collaborating with another musician?

I like to work with people that have good vibes. I really like to get connected with the artist in the studio, I really like to know his story and understand him. Life is about sharing experiences, and I learn a lot from it. Most of my tracks I compose myself together with the artist, and we get the vibe since the beginning. I like to create and develop the artist together with the track.

It looks like you’ve been spending a lot of time in your studio in São Paulo recently. Is “Sun Goes Down” just the beginning of a string of new releases?

You will be surprised with my upcoming releases! =]

Coming up you plan to tour in Europe. Is there a venue in particular that you are most excited to perform at?

I just came back from Norway, I played at Findings, it was really cool!

Is there anything else you would like to share with fans?

Thank you so much for your support and I really want to see you soon!

Thank you so much for your time! We look forward to watching you as you continue to rise to the top!
