Run in the wind with Swedish pop guru Tove Styrke as she rejects the average lifestyle in “Mistakes.” Church bells ring for a runaway bride, and the video kicks off with the song’s title written on the screen like lipstick on an imaginary mirror. A stain glass window fills the room with colorful light, bringing awareness to the archaic institution of marriage. Styrke wears a cherry red suit with small colorful spheres, rolling around on the train and veil of a wedding ensemble. As the runaway bride forges a path through the forest, “Mistakes” own smooth, steamy, and romantic vibe brings whim and adventure to her journey.

The integration of wild nature as a background against a princess falling apart pushes this video to a state of ruin. From an enchanting gaze at the camera, to smashing a mirror with extreme force, the portal to reality has shut and wonderland is open for business. Multiple runaways convene at a spectacular vista, then transport to a party where the brides let loose and shed their wedding gear. Forget the RSVP, and follow Tove Styrke to a world of carefree living.
