21 year old Callum Gill has unfortunately passed away at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend festival in Hull, England after taking about 2,300 mg (2.3 g) of MDMA, which is over 500 mg (.5 g) past the drug’s toxic dose.

Callum suffered from a seizure while on a bus to the festival and died a couple hours later in the hospital after experiencing three heart attacks. The deceased’s coroner claimed Gill was “on the cusp of life with the world at his feet.” Gill was just a couple of weeks away from receiving a degree in Law and European studies.

Calum’s dad Andrew said: “The tragedy of such unfulfilled potential is hard to bear.”
