The highly anticipated collaboration from Selena Gomez and Marshmello has finally arrived.

Somber melodies open the stage for Gomez’s emotionally-fused vocals, before the track progresses into a radio-friendly tune featuring the previously teased vocals from the pair. The introduction/build sounds less like Marshmello and more like Avicii–which makes sense considering Avicii songwriters Ali Tamposi and Andrew Watt listed as contributors–but the drop is 100% pure Marshmello.

In a recent interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Gomez explained that the lyrics, written by Watt, “weirdly mirrored” something that the vocalist was going through in Japan at the time.
