The 60th annual Grammy Awards are quickly approaching and it’s just one day until the official nominees are announced!
The Grammys will take place January 28th, 2018, hosted by James Corden at the prestigious Madison Square Garden in New York City. This year is the first time the event has been held outside of Los Angeles since 2003 and expects to draw a bigger crowd than ever, as one the most defining nights for artists in the music industry. The first of the nominations will be revealed from The Recording Academy by a nominee from last year’s event–singer and songwriter Andra Day–and categories include Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Record of the Year.
CBS This Morning will be broadcasting the official announcement tomorrow, Tuesday, November 28th at 5:30 a.m. PST/8:30 a.m. EST. They will also be immediately updated on the Grammys website along with 84 other categories as well, shortly after the drop.
Last year’s top Grammy performances included Adele, Daft Punk, The Weekend, Chance the Rapper, A Tribe Called Quest and many more. The word around town this year is that Kendrick Lamar and Ed Sheeran will be running the nominations, but there is also talk about Kesha‘s appearance after her battles earlier this year with her former mentor Dr. Luke.
Stay tuned for more Grammy news and updates as we will be helping pacify fans’ anticipation and all of the excitement and entertainment that will be here exactly two months from now.
