French producer and DJ Habstrakt is making waves with his forward-thinking creations, taking influences from house and bass music. He’s known to fuse the two together to create his unique signature style, layering vibrant productions with different samples and synths.
Habstrakt created one of the biggest tracks in 2017 with Skrillex, “Chicken Soup,” and has done remixes for DJ Snake, Zeds Dead and Zomboy, and now he is wrapping up the year with another hot new collaboration with Dombresky on “Antigone.” The Parisian producer is known for his authentic style, having produced an official remix of “We All Fall Down” for A-Trak and having collaborated with Tchami on his first EP. He released “Wait” and “Utopia” on Tchami’s label, making them two of the most popular songs to date. Now, his latest collaboration with Habstrakt, which pushes a futuristic sound with French bass house, is out on Mad Decent.
“‘Antigone’ is our first time actually working together after years of knowing each other, it’s a groovy and subby organ-fuelled house beat and also a hint at Montpellier, the city in south of France where we both originate from,” said Habstrakt.
It looks like 2018 is going to be another big year for Habstrakt as he prepares to accompany Destructo on his Let’s Be Friends tour along with Walker & Royce, Fisher, Will Clarke, Deux, Dillon Nathaniel, Gerry Gonza and Golf Clap.
