Finally, Pioneer. Finally!
Thanks to Pioneer DJ, you will now be able to record mixes directly onto iOS devices via a brand new app, DJM-REC. The app will allow users to record mixes directly from a compatible DJM mixer to the app by way of the board’s USB send and return port.
According to Pioneer DJ, the app uses the standard lightning charging cable for iPhones and iPads, and allows you to easily control the peak limiter in the DJ mixer in order to minimize clipping and distortion.
You can also use the app as a live-stream tool and broadcast your mix via real time to YouTube, Facebook Live, Periscope, Instagram and Snapchat. Once the mix is finish recording as a WAV, you will be able to upload it to various streaming platforms like SoundCloud, Mixcloud and Dropbox.
The DJM-REC app is compatible with DJM mixers, starting at the DJM-450, and will be compatible with most club set-ups. The app is now available on the https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/djm-rec/id1292535659?mt=8 for $9.99 with a 30-day free trial period.
