London-to-Los Angeles urbanite Daktyl premiered the experimental electronic single “Weather” featuring MOONZz via Counter Records. Piano bars soften the track’s wicked wub, prominent pulse and MOONZz’s accented articulation.

Moved by the greats–J Dilla, Nujabes and Caribou–Mad Decent signed Lonbay his sophomore year at University of Nottingham. Daktyl’s Richard Lonbay has warmed up the crowd for Slow Magic, ODESZA, Bonobo, TroyBoi, Hotel Garuda plus Giraffage.

Rolling Stone dubbed Daktyl one of “10 New Artists You Need to Know,” alongside neo-soul powerhouse Kehlani. In addition to BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe spotlighting “Forgettable” during his “Next Hype” segment, Richard has appeared on Diplo, Todla T and DJ Target’s guest mixes.

Daktyl’s debut Coachella Do LaB performance set the bar high for his upcoming Australian excursion, beginning July 6 at Mr Wolf nightclub. Brace yourself for Lonbay’s upcoming work with Janelle Kroll, Krrum, DUCKWRTH as well as Sweater Beats.

“This is the first thing MOONZz and I ever wrote together,” posted Daktyl. “It’s our take on a love song, and it’s the last love song I’ve written.”
