Kayzo and Our Last Night delivered their latest collaboration, “Alone,” yesterday via Ultra Music. The record fully lives up to the hype created by his previous collaborations with Underoath (“Wasted Space“) and XO Sad (“FAKE FAKE FAKE”).
Kayzo once again pushed the boundaries of electronic music. Mixing dubstep-style heavy distortion with sultry rock elements, he is bridging two musical worlds together. Featuring emotional lyrics, “Alone” surprisingly tugs at listeners’ heartstrings with hard-hitting grit.
“The lyrics are a vow to be more emotionally present and supportive for somebody you love. It’s not always easy to truly empathize with the people closest to you, especially in the way that they receive it best,” says Our Last Night’s frontman Trevor Wentworth.
“Alone” is actually the first single from Kayzo’s forthcoming album. He is also heading out on tour this spring, with already announced dates in Houston, Chicago, San Francisco, Montreal and NYC. In April, he will make his debut appearance at Coachella. Catch him in a city near you and listen to the track here.
